Jewelry Buyers NYC
Buyers of New York has bought jewelry in the Diamond District since 1993. People bring us engagement rings after a breakup, gold chains that have sat in a drawer for years, a grandmother’s estate collection, a single earring, a designer bracelet they no longer wear. We buy all of it, and we pay for everything a piece is worth: the metal, the stones and the name on the clasp.
Most jewelry buyers only pay melt value. They weigh the gold, ignore the diamonds and treat a Cartier bangle like scrap. We look at each piece three ways. First the metal: we test the karat and weigh it on certified scales. Then the stones: our gemologists check diamonds and colored gems for size, color and clarity. Then the piece itself: signed designer and antique jewelry is priced on what it resells for, which is often far more than the gold inside it.
You watch every step at the counter, you see how the number was reached, and you decide. If you accept, you leave with cash or a same-day wire. If you don’t, you leave with your jewelry and a free valuation.
What Jewelry We Buy
“Never sell a signed piece or a good diamond for its weight in gold. That is where most people lose money when they sell jewelry, and it is the first thing we check.”
Buyers of New York — Diamond District, NYCHow We Value Jewelry
The metal. We confirm the karat with acid or XRF testing, weigh the piece on certified scales and price the gold, platinum or silver against today’s market. Stamps like 585, 750 or PT950 help, but we test every piece either way.
The stones. Diamonds are measured and graded for carat, color, clarity and cut. Colored stones are identified and checked for size and quality. A GIA or IGI report helps but is not required. Small accent stones usually add little; a center stone can be worth more than everything else on the ring.
The piece. Signed designer jewelry, period antiques and well-made estate pieces resell as jewelry, not as scrap. We price those on resale value, which is why a Cartier Love bracelet or an Art Deco diamond ring is worth much more than its gold weight.

Why Sellers Choose Us
Designer, antique and diamond pieces are priced as jewelry, not scrap. That is the biggest difference between us and a gold-for-cash counter.
Diamonds and colored stones are graded in house by trained gemologists, so stones are paid for, not thrown in with the gold.
Every test and every weight happens at the counter. You see the karat, the scale reading and how each part of the offer adds up.
Accept the offer and get paid before you leave, in cash or by same-day wire. No consignment and no waiting for a check.
Broken chains, single earrings, missing stones and outdated settings are all bought. Condition rarely changes the value of the metal.
